Tay Solid

“A solid foundation doesn’t mean it comes without blemishes — it means when the smoke clears, it’s still standing.”

The Story

Diante Suggs

Diante Suggs — known to the world as Tay Solid — was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is an upcoming artist under his own record label, Solid Foundation, as well as an entrepreneur, a family man, and a deeply spiritual person.

Solid Foundation came about while he was at a low point in his life. Lonely, broken, and a few years into a prison sentence, everything he had fell apart. He realized that everything he had invested in up to that point had withered away, and that he wanted to build a life where everything around him — including himself — was solid in every area. Thus Solid Foundation was born.

A solid foundation doesn’t mean it will come without blemishes. It means that no matter what may rise against it, when the smoke clears, it will still be left standing.

Since his release, he has been focused on embodying a lifestyle that represents a solid foundation, refusing to let his past — or people’s perception of him — define him.
